Canceling Individual Sessions

Cancellations require 48 hours' notice by email to info@erikidabra.com. With proper notice, you'll receive one makeup credit valid within your current package period. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice forfeit both refunds and makeup credits. Credits do not roll over to future packages.

Magic Pod Adjustments

Once your Magic Pod schedule is confirmed, dates are locked: no cancellations or changes regardless of attendance. Your child's spot is held exclusively for them.

Behavioral Expectations

We want every child to thrive in our programs, and part of that is making sure every space feels safe for the whole group. Because caregivers are present during sessions, we're able to work through most moments together in real time. In the rare case where a behavior repeatedly puts a child or others at risk (for example, biting that breaks skin), we'll always talk with you first: this is never a first-offense decision. If, after that conversation, we determine a child needs to step back from the program, fees already paid are non-refundable. When Your Child Is Sick

Keep your child home if they have a fever, infection, or contagious illness. They may return once fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication. Please notify us as soon as possible if they need to miss a session. Parents are responsible for assessing their child's readiness to participate in a group setting.

make-up policy: magic pods, individual sessions

Magic Pods are booked on a semester basis and do not include drop-ins or individual make-up sessions. If your child is absent for any reason (illness, travel, scheduling conflicts, etc.) we're unable to offer a make-up for that session. 

 

The One Exception

If Erikidabra cancels a session (weather, instructor illness, or other unforeseen circumstances), we will schedule a make-up for the full group at the earliest possible date.

Weather & NYCPS School Closures

Erikidabra Magic Pods and individual sessions are cancelled for snow or inclement weather when New York City public schools close. Listen to NY1 or WINS 1010AM for announcements. We will make every effort to provide a make-up lesson or class.​

 

Who Can Attend

Each enrolled child may have one adult accompany them. Additional adults, siblings, or guests are not permitted, as they disrupt the learning environment. Want to include a sibling in the age range? Register them for the pod in advance!

 

When Pods Meet at Host Homes

Many of our Magic Pods take place in enrolled families' homes. Please bring everything you and your child need (water bottles, wipes, etc.). Full liability terms for host home sessions are outlined in our Terms of Service.

Photography & Media Policy

​Erikidabra's Use of Photos

By participating in our programs, you grant Erikidabra the right to photograph or record you and your child in any format (photo, video, digital media). This content may be used for any lawful purpose — including promotions, advertising, social media, and publications — without compensation. All content captured becomes Erikidabra's property under a perpetual, royalty-free, transferable license.

 

Your Use of Photos

You may not photograph, record, or share another participant's likeness on social media or elsewhere without their explicit consent. Erikidabra is not liable for photos or recordings taken by or of you and your family.
